Formerly known as Lochiel Golf Club, Tieke Golf Estate is a complete reimagining of a classic Waikato course—now recognised as one of Aotearoa’s premier golfing destinations. From day one, NKLA had the privilege of working under Brett Thomson and Phil Tataurangi, walking the fairways, shaping the vision, and producing full landscape documentation through to implementation.

As the first large-scale project where NKLA led all documentation, it was a defining moment early in our career. The opportunity to be deeply involved in a project of this scale and calibre sparked a lasting passion for golf course design—one that continues to shape our work to this day.
