A property unlike any other in Christchurch. With expansive reserve views and a generous sense of space, the design required a thoughtful approach to preserve and enhance its unique qualities. The pool was carefully positioned to avoid becoming the ‘elephant in the room,’ allowing the open lawn to remain untouched and functional.

The house itself was used as a buffer against the prevailing easterly winds, while outdoor living areas were strategically placed to align with the floor plan and protect key garden views. Low landscape walls were introduced to create a sense of enclosure, offering both structure and informal seating that blends effortlessly into the space.
